A flow piece inspired by the fog of loss.
2026 bought us loss.
Mum passed in January after a quick 5 week battle with cancer.
I created two pieces that helped me process what was going on in my head during this time. Dealing with the end of life care. Being there. Making phone calls. Organising a funeral. Tying up loose ends afterwards. Getting the Death Certificate verified. All these things that needed to be done, and Dad couldn't do it due to Dementia. These pieces helped me process that there was this pit of fog I was in, but the colour would slowly return. The colour is there, but it is clouded in fog.
Colour has returned, but I am constantly reminded of the fog. Visiting Dad. Wearing one of Mums cardigans. Photos on my camera roll.
