Collection: The Code Collection

The Code Collection was first introduced in 2022.

I really enjoy using shapes as a ground base for my work.

The Visual Harmony pieces are based on the music note. Earlier resin layered pieces focused on angular shapes. 

The Code Collection is based on the International Morse Code.

Each piece is literally conveying a message, or word, in Morse Code. I have taken this principal, and using my layering technique, repeat the message over and over, using colour, placement and/or board orientation to differentiate and separate. 

What develops is a far deeper connection than just a word. Using colour, placement, and underlying layers, the piece becomes more of a visual communication piece, that is layered on the literal base of communication.

This allows me to select what words/messages I want to convey, and it also lets me pick which emotion I want to trigger by using colour!!
